For this review, we will be using a computer with the following configuration.

Hardware:

• Source Hard Drive: IBM DJNA-372200 21GB
• Backup Device 1: Maxtor 5 20GB
• Backup Device 2: Lite-On LTR-52327S CDRW
• Backup Device 3: Lexar 256mb USB JumpDrive 2.0 Pro (USB1.1 Socket Used)
• Backup Device 4: FTP Server

Software:

• Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed
• Adaptec ASPI 4.71 installed

Test Data:

Original Data for Backup from Hard Drive to Various Mediums:

The test data was a collection of various files and folders. In total, there were 5 subfolders containing 92 files of various types. In total, this amounted to 200MB of data.

Changed Data:

After each backup operation I changed ~20MB (10%) of the data and added one file to the existing data folder. The new file was ~2MB (1%) in size.

Original Data for Backup from Hard Drive to FTP:

The test data was a collection of various files and folders. In total, there were 5 subfolders containing 10 files of various types. In total, this amounted to 1MB of data.

Changed Data:

After each backup operation I changed ~100KB (10%) of the data and added one file to the existing data folder. The new file was ~10KB (1%) in size.
